Frequently Asked Questions
Which exams have syllabus available?
Currently SSC CGL, IBPS PO, UPSC CSE, and RRB NTPC. More exams are being added regularly.
What does PYQ count mean?
PYQ stands for Previous Year Questions — the approximate number of times a topic has been asked in recent years of the exam.
Are the book recommendations biased?
No. We recommend books based on toppers' feedback and popularity among successful candidates. We have no affiliate partnerships with any publisher.
What is topic weightage and how should I use it?
Topic weightage shows the percentage of questions typically asked from a topic in recent exam patterns. Focus more study time on high-weightage topics for maximum score improvement.
Is the UPSC CSE (IAS) syllabus the same every year?
The official UPSC CSE syllabus is largely unchanged year to year, but actual question patterns can shift. We display the official syllabus plus trend data to help you spot emerging focus areas.
What is the SSC CGL exam pattern?
SSC CGL has two tiers: Tier-I (Computer Based Test with 100 questions on GK, Reasoning, Maths, English) and Tier-II (focused on Quantitative Abilities, English, and the chosen post's paper). Each is detailed in our syllabus view.
Does the syllabus include the IBPS PO mains pattern?
Yes. Our IBPS PO syllabus covers both Prelims (English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning) and Mains (Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, General Economy, English Language, Data Analysis, General Awareness).
How is RRB NTPC different from RRB Group D?
RRB NTPC is for Non-Technical Popular Categories (Station Master, Clerk) requiring higher qualifications. RRB Group D covers track maintainer and helper roles with lower eligibility. Both have separate syllabi on our platform.
Will this syllabus help me prepare for state PSC exams too?
The subjects (History, Polity, Geography, Economy, Science) broadly overlap between UPSC and most state PSC exams. While the exact syllabus differs, our content gives a strong conceptual base for state PCS exams as well.
Is the syllabus data updated for the latest exam notification?
Yes. We review and update syllabus data whenever a new official notification is released. The last updated date is shown on each exam's syllabus card.
